Palm Trees
Just been informed by our gardeners that we have two Palms infested by "the insect that is killing a lot of palm trees in the Algarve"
They have also offered to treat the trees for a huge sum of money and offer no guarantee of success.
Does anyone have any information on what this infestation might be and whether it truly is widespread ?
Of course, any advice on treatment would also be most welcome.

Re: Palm Trees
If it makes you feel just slightly better - the dreaded red palm weevil is rampant throughout Spain and the southern mediterranean - there is a lot of research going on at the moment to find a cure - and there is a hint of another insect being found that eats palm weevil larvae. keep hoping!
