Starting a business
We are looking to move over in the future and we would like to start a new business in the algarve, can anyone tell me the problems in setting up in Portugal. It will be a recycling business for waste, dust control

Somewhere in the archives of this website is a lot of information on this very subject - most of it tainted with 'caution' - so tread carefully and do a lot of research. I have three friends who at times over the past 8 years have all embarked on the process - they eventually got there but not without a lot of frustration and anger.
My reply is not not intended to deter you from starting a business - it's a cautionary note to prepare you for the 'mother and father' of all bureaucratic processes that is slow, cumbersome and neanderthal.
Do your home-work before embarking on the project and as long as you are patient and methodical - you are about 20% of the way there
