DAB RADIO??

Post by katie b »

Thanks to Tricia and EMM for the helpful replies regarding car insurance and matriculation.
Can I ask you all another question? Is there any way I can receive BBC radio stations when we move to Portugal? I was going to buy a new DAB radio but have been told it would be a waste of money as I wouldn't be able to receive any of my fave music stations or radio 5 Live.
Any comments would be gratefully received!
Thanks, katie b.

If you buy a freesat box ( you will need a dish ) all the BBC radio channels can be picked up.
I must have my Today Prog in the morning.

I di not think that DAB will work in Portugal.

You will find a number of products on which to receive Internet radio - as long as you have a Wi-Fi network in your home.

The one to have is Sonos (www.sonos.com) I have just installed it in our home in the UK and it works a treat.

With the Euro still 'beating the pound up' - get in there fast and get it from here - you will be amazed.

DAB Radio

DAB will only work on your local receivable stations - and am not too sure if they have the network capability in Portugal yet. They should have as you can receive digital television!

I once laboured under the misbelief that a DAB radio would receive all digital stations all around the globe.

Not so.
