Buying property in the Algarve

Can anyone advise me of the taxes etc that are due when you buy propery in the Algarve. I am looking at a bar but it is freehold and i am guessing there will be tax to pay??

Always add on 10% of purchase price, that will cover all legal fees and tax.

Matthew theres a girl in Loule called Jenny wright runs an estate agency called "THREE FOUNTAINS"she is the most helpfull friendly person i,ve ever met.We bought our villa thru her and i can honestly say she made it a most pleasent experience ,only sending us details within the limits we had given her.Ireckon every english/irish person buying on the Algarve should at least contact her ,even if she hasn,t got what your looking for she,ll give you honest help and advise
