Hello,

Can anyone advise re: healthcare insurance for a family in Portugal. We have 2 young children and will be living in Carvoeiro. I am aware of using the E111 card and the state hospital in Portimao. But would like advise re: the need to obtain further health/dental cover.

The E111, now replaced by the EHIC, is valid in Europe for UK residents when visiting other countries only. If you become resident in Portugal you
need the Portuguese paperwork[/u]
