went to the silves mediavel fayre which runs until the 15th..the fayre runs thru all the streets from the arab square to the cathedral...loads and loads of stands..seems to never end ..arabs selling tea, handicrafts, fire eaters. belly dancers..and very very busy ...as busy as fatacil and shows up the sardine festival (which costs money to enter) as very poor value. Nice to see that most stand holders clothed in arab dress.

conclusion - well worth going to.
