No idea on the millenium bank charges - I just take money out from the barclays bank using my nationwide account which costs me nothing, and put the cash into the millenium bank which also costs me nothing. Do that a couple of times a year to keep the account topped up.

We top up our account online through HiFx - they offer online purchase of Euros (up to £10000 worth at a time) at a decent rate by direct debit on your UK account, and remittance to the overseas account of your choice ie Millennium. The whole process takes a couple of days.
