When we bought 4 years ago, we drove every inch of the coast from the Spanish Border to Cap Finisterre looking for that "Special place"

We were wined and dined by Developers and Estate Agents trying to convince us that the likes of Vale de Lobo et al were the place to be.
We found places like that to be soul-less and typical of developements all through Spain.

Travira and the east has its own charm, but reminded us of the beaches of East Anglia.

Lagos was too big and just did nothing for us.

The far west was just that...far, and in places a little bleak.

When we came across Carvoeiro we fell in love with the place, the coastline, and knew this was where we wanted to be. It ticked all our boxes.

A little expensive? Yes, probably, but there is a reason for that. It's a special place, and to those who have bought there, worth the premium.

It may sound prosaic, but to us, it has really become our 2nd home.
