decorating costs

I've got a 2 bed flat and it's quite tidy

but the walls need a lick of paint. Anyone have any idea of rates for painters here?

I dont need any woodwork done, just walls, in white, nice and fresh again.

My agent gota quote of 600 euros for my 2 bedroom house. Don't know if this is competitive or not as in the end I did it myself.

Difficult to know, isn't it...They dont have all those timber skirting boards to worry about here.

I have a 3 bedroom villa, and was quoted 12,000 Euros (+21% IVA) for painting both the interior and exterior.

In the end, my wife and I did it ourselves. It took about 360 man hours and cost us less than 1,000 Euros for the paint and other materials. It was exhausting as we worked 12 hour days for 16 days, but were very pleased with the final result and of course we put our personal stamp on the villa - very rewarding.

The quote of 600 Euros for malrc's 2 bedroom house seems very competitive indeed.
