I am looking to change the doors to my kitchen units from wood to white but do not want to have all the units taken out. In the UK there are a number of companies that do this. Does anyone do this sort of work in the CV area?

Dick at Elite kitchens in Lagoa (fatacil business park) will sell just the doors if you want to change them.

If you want to save money, paint the doors white. I have done it and they turned out just like new. Only thing is you have to first wash the grease and oil off the doors, sand them lightly and then paint. These were routered doors not just flat surfaced ones. I took them off the cupboards and painted both the outside and inside. There are many types of paints on the market that can give whatever finish you want. Have fun.

Hello everyone,

I need to do just the opposite: I wish to keep my nice solid wooden cupboard
doors but need to replace all the cupboards, which are in chipboard and are
disintegrating (after +30 years!).

Can anyone recommend some good carpenters or cabinet makers ?

Thanks!
