Mike Clarke - Carleton Properties

I have only just learned that Mike Clarke of Carleton Properties passed away in November last year.

I was surprised not to see anything published in the popular press announcing this sad occasion. For those that knew Mike they will know he was a Gentleman in the full meaning of the word - a delight to deal with. He came to The Algarve over 40 years ago and was truly knowledgeable in all matters related to property acquisition. Where he wasn't - he knew somebody who was.

We bought several properties through Mike and never once had occasion to take issue with him - he made the process a real pleasure.

I have only just read this and I'm shocked by the news. We bought our house through Mike and felt totally reassured that we were doing the right thing and following the right process. I great guy and he'll be sadly missed, RIP.

On the same tack as this post I was surprised that there was no mention of the death of John Hawker on the Forum. John was a pretty well known guy, especially amongst golfers, and had lived in and around Carvoeiro for about 40 years so I found it unusual.
