East midlands Long stay car park
Got home late Friday night and went to pick up my pal's car at long stay 1 EMA. They had arrived at 13.44 and took the flt out to FAO which arrived at 19.00. We went back same flt and arrived around 22.30. I collected his car and put the ticket in the pay station machine - £27.00 + £1.50 card charge!!! I cant believe it 8hrs stay for that!! must be the robin hood effect!!
Re: East midlands Long stay car park
It would've cost the same at Manchester Airport. Its always better to book into a long stay car park for the day, although obviously its not as convenient as you may have to get a shuttle bus or face a longer walk. But yes, Airport car parks are a rip off

Re: East midlands Long stay car park
I just tried an on-line quote 13.00 - 23.00 next Friday and that was £23.99.
Re: East midlands Long stay car park
Think that's bad? You want to try flying out of Blackpool Airport. They charge you a £10 fee which you HAVE to pay otherwise you don't get through to departures. This is so that people who are parking their cars can do so for free! The charge is payable by anyone over the age of 16, regardless of whether you are parking a car or not. Didn't realise that Robin Hood had moved to lancashire?

Just got a quote for December at EMA (8 to 22) for Meet & Greet @ £66 which is the same as the Long Stay for the same period. Guess which I'll be choosing.

Holidays Extras will knock 10% off that Michael.

Once you've tried the airport's own Meet and Greet service, you're not likely to park any other way again, and that's official - 100% of our customers agree.

Re: East midlands Long stay car park
Just returned from Faro & used the Meet & Greet for 14 days at East Midlands. Think it was about £50 but booked quite a way in advance & I found SkyPark Secure the cheapest to book through.
I thought it was a very good service for a similar price to the long stay shuttle carparks without the hassle of waiting in the cold for buses & then trying to remember where you parked your car!
You go straight to the Meet & Great barrier & input the code they give you, park up, give your keys to the office & you then walk the 30 seconds to departures. (The only delay we did have is that the start of the lane you have to go in, before you get to the barrier, is also for the 'Rapid Drop Off' which seemed very 'unrapid' & meant we had to queue for about 10 mins to get to the Meet & Great section. I did mention this when I dropped the keys & they were sending someone to sort the Rapid Drop off section out as it was so congested with people stopping anywhere to drop their passengers)
Coming back again straight to the office, picked up the keys & 30 seconds later we were in the car. You then just drove to the barrier which automatically let us out.
I've gone into a bit of detail as this was the first time we had used this service & I was a bit concerned how it worked so hopefully might be of interest to someone!

£65.99
No saving on there at the moment.
Re: East midlands Long stay car park
Hi Michael , full price is £65.99 less 10% = £53.39 saving you £6.60
Holiday extras (I use them at Belfast ) are charging £53.39 for the meet and greet at EMA. Agree with your post, it is a no brainer compared to the other long stay car parks at that airport.
I suggest you make an enquiry giving those dates and giving your email address etc but don't complete. I would guess that in about 48 hours you will get an unsolicited email from Holiday Extras with the 10% offer.
(I dont know if anybody else can see this or just me. just press search and it should take you to the discount. (last night it showed the discount for a while but then just reverted to full price - don' t know why)
