loss of ITV 1 signal

My wife switched on the TV this evening and was presented with a blank screen when she tuned in to ITV 1. Our signal is the West Country and it has disappeared also on another box which receives the same signal. My Humax freesat box is currently tuned also to a West Country post code and there is no signal on the normal TV setting but I can get reception on an ITV station from another region. Wth the Humax box I can reset the choice of postcode and presumably get another ITV region but obviously this is not possible with the Sky boxes. Is anyone else experiencing difficulties with ITV reception?

You are not the only one , reports on other forums of loss of ITV.

Same here, but can still get it on channel 973 Sky box

I have since discovered 973 and this is a good substitute since it appears on the menu and you can therefore programme the normal Sky+ recordings. Oddly enough the ITV west country signal has now returned so perhaps there was a temporary glitch rather than a loss through a change of satellite beam. Fingers crossed.

ITV announced at 9pm there had been a technical fault with their digital broadcasts.
