Old Stuff!

Post by Chris »

We are just about to purchase a small original Algarvean cottage. One of the first questions I have is - How do we get rid of all the old furniture in the house that has been left?

It is completely full of "stuff" that needs to go. Are there companies that offer this service, or are there municipal dumps like in the UK..

Many Thanks. :D

Your local town council will have set dates for voluminous garbage collection.

The next dates for Lagoa are:
Aug. 5th & 6th
Aug. 19th & 20th

Please only drop the garbage the night before collection to avoid it acumulating by the dumpsters.

Chris before you dump your stuff it might be worth looking around to see if it is of any use to some of the poorer locals our house agent did for us and not only did we get rid of the gear for nothing but we got some friends for life.

thats a good idea or you could even just put a sign on gate, wall saying furniture free to anyone who can take away, thats how we cleared out our unwanted stuff.

Thanks GerrY & Guest

Both are good ideas.

Much of the stuff is still functional and it would make much more sense to let somebody get some use out of it, rather than it just go to waste.
