I was quite amused last tuesday at the price of bottles of water at faro airport - in the restaurant/snack bar a 500 ml bottle of vitalis is a mere €2.1 - thats ~3 x the price of petrol! However in the several drinks machines after passport control, exactly the same bottles are €1.4!
Clearly the pleasure of waiting in a long line for a bottle of water is a better service than the machine and so costs more!

Coffee prices also range from E1.60 to well over E2.00.
