One of the headlines states that a couple lost 40,000euros, this is rather misleading as due to the change in exchange rate they probably made about £30,000 profit. I see only the resale value was quoted in £s.

I agree Sam there is also the fact that house prices have also fallen in that time so it seems to me they are quids in. More than likely been able to afford a fair better house in the UK than they had there before. Might even be able to scratch together enough money to still afford their 3 meals out a week - bless em
