It looks super.............. if you like shopping, and that lets out 50% of the population, i.e. males. It appears that it is open to the elements, just like the Algarve Shopping Centre near Guia, and if you have been there on a wet, or a sunny but windy day, it is not a particularly happy experience. Having just come back from the Algarve and having suffered a few wet days, I feel what is needed is a covered shopping centre. The only one at the moment is the Continente in Portimao, and we spent a couple of afternoons there on wet days letting madam loose on the limited number of shops (with her credit card!).

I like the open air aspect of the Guia shopping centre much more attractive to wander round that the enclosed Portimao centre & you can stay mostly dry at Guia. We went to the Faro shopping centre the other day, that's really attractive with its big plaza, no ice skating rink this year, but apart from a few extra shops most very expensive it has no more to offer than Guia. I am looking forward to the new Portimao centre.

Christmas Fair tomorrow (Wed' 1st) in Portimao by the way. Go left at the round-about after the Continente round-about & it will be sign posted. This is the fair I think that used to be held at the Hotel Garbe (now Holiday Inn) in Armacao de Pera.
