Buying odds and sods

Just received the list of stuff QdP will require us to have if we rent through them. It's pretty comprehensive. Can anyone recommend economical places to buy the likes of cutlery and crockery. We like the place by Aldi in Alcantarilha but would be interested in other suggestions.

Look in the January sales at all sorts of shops as above and also the supermarkets such as Modelo and Continente - it's surprising how cheap you can pick things up then. Sales usually start about Jan 8th.

I echo De Borla and also Espaco Casa (next to the Chinese shop and Seaside) in Alcantarilha, they've got some lovely things for the house at good prices

'Casa' (Guia small retail park or Portimao near C & A) is brilliant, better quality & more stylish than De Borla but still inexpensive.

I would go to Modelo the lines and products are the same year in year out. If pieces get lost or broken it is easy to replace them.

If you have a UK makro card you can use the one in Guia, you will need to have your fiscal card with you as they ask for the details at checkout.
