Strange smell in the air
Re: Strange smell in the air
Do I have to spell it out? Weed, grass, hash, smoked in a spliff, joint, dooby. Has a very cloying scent, I just thought maybe one of your neighbours might be indulging. The bong thing was just a play on words, as in start the day with a bang. A bong is a filtration device for smoking, generally used to smoke cannabis.shanagarry wrote:What are you on about?
Do you know it's just not worth it when you have to explain it.

As I don't and have never partaken in any of the items you have listed - I have no idea what it is you are talking about. I suspect you are referring to illicit drugs of some sort as I understand cannabis to be just that.blue wrote:Weed, grass, hash, smoked in a spliff, joint, dooby
What's more - as you appear to be well versed in terminology related to such illegal substances - I get the impression that you are suggesting the good-folk of Carvoeiro are polluting the air with their 'dooby' (whatever that is)? Please don't bother to reply as I am not in the least interested in the topic - now that we have wandered from the original subject
Re: Strange smell in the air
Doh, it is on topic, the substances to which I am referring and which are prolific in Carvoeiro produce an aroma similar to the one you & the original poster, Maccasa, describe.

THe factory is very close to the golf course , one reason why we do not play there as the smoke can be very dense and blows across the course for much of the year.
Re: Strange smell in the air
You didn't say a cloud large enough to cover Carvoeiro, have to say that I haven't noticed any large cloud of sweet smelling, or other, smoke hanging over Carvoeiro, so pillock yourself with knobs on & I raise your pillock with a prat - prat!

You need to stop sniffing whatever it is you are sniffing - it's doing you a lot of harm
Re: Strange smell in the air
I stick to crushed grapes myself, might see a few pink elephants but never clouds of smoke.
Re: Strange smell in the air
I think I know the smell, we only smell it very early in the morning ,
someone told us its a doughnut factory in the neighbourhood of the new sewage factory.

Re: Strange smell in the air
There is no doughnut factory anywhere near the watertreatment plant so we can rule that one out.

I thought the doughnut factory (near the water treatment plant...) had closed down?

Re: Strange smell in the air
The 'aroma' was here in all its aromatic force this morning (it woke me up just before 7) - there's not a puff of wind to carry it from anywhere - so where does it come from
