Faro Council is selling perpetual graves in a public auction.
“Final dwellings” start at 3,000 euros but are subject to bidding.
With the aim of raising funds, Faro Municipal Council is holding a sale by public auction of 25 perpetual graves in plot 8 of the Esperança Municipal Cemetery in Faro.
In a press release, the local authority says that the graves that are in the public auction can have burials on two levels, but future owners would have to present plans to the Department of Urban Development of Faro Municipal Council.
The starting price for bids per perpetual grave is 3,750.00€ and offers can be handed into the General Office of the Department of General Administration of the Municipal Council by 15.00 on 14th September. The public opening of the bids will take place on 15th September in the Salão Nobre.
