Pool Cleaning

Post by maccasa »

Can anyone give me an idea of the going rate for pool cleaning?? - we are only going to be using our house for 1-2 weeks every 2 mths so the pool isnt going to get much use.
We've got a Chloromatic salt water system and a pool cover, so that should help to reduce cleaning needs and obviously no chemicals!

Prices do seem to vary considerably we know of some paying over 100 euros/month.

But it has been said to us on more than one occaision if you have a good pool man and you are happy then he is worth whatever you pay.

It is one area where it is just too risky to scrimp and chase the lowest price.

Hi

Our price does include chemicals. As to keeping check on visits, basically we trust our pool man to do his job correctly

I guess the only check is that when you get there, the pool is clear and sparkling. :D
First time we arrive and it isnt - we get another man and dont pay for the last month

Very sensible approach! In my experience the Portuguese are both reliable and honest and I'm sure that your trust will be rewarded.
