How do you get a Makro card? Have been there once but they didn't let me in as I didn't have a card!

If you have a management company, you borrow theirs

Anyway....MAKRO is the last place you would go to looking for decent lighting fittings.
The furnishing shops across the road at Algarve Shopping are probably your best bet.

They may not be the fanciest but they have some good value items in Makro.
Security has got tighter since the refurb and they ask to see your card on entry.
WE got ours in the UK and they are happy with that providing we have our fiscal cards a s well.

NB, No credit cards.

I also got mine in the UK. Nearest ones to us are in Croydon or Charlton.
You need to provide business letter heading and ID to get a trade card. We've used it in Albufeira Makro many times.They dont accept credit cards. Its worth getting just to use in the UK and then its a bonus when in the Algarve

Whereabouts on the Val ds paraiso ind est is the lamp shop?
I have been looking for lamps for months for our apartment, been to Parchal, Leroy Merlin, Conforama, Izi, etc. even to Candilamp in Almancil all the same. I'm hoping they will get some new stock in once their sales are over, they've had the same lines for yonks now.

It is in the old mestre maco DIY building, there is a large furniture outlet next door to it.

( Also price check as you go onto the estate great prices for cleaning materials etc, Algarve equivalent of poundland )

also try EDP in Silves, they have a lot of chandeliers wall lights etc.
