Don,t forget Makro, you will need a makro card and your fiscal card.
what do I need to get a MAKRO card
I also got mine in the UK. Nearest ones to us are in Croydon or Charlton.
You need to provide business letter heading and ID to get a trade card. We've used it in Albufeira Makro many times. They dont accept credit cards. Its worth getting just to use in the UK and then its a bonus when in the Algarve

Whereabouts on the Val ds paraiso ind est is the lamp shop?
I have been looking for lamps for months for our apartment, been to Parchal, Leroy Merlin, Conforama, Izi, etc. even to Candilamp in Almancil all the same. I'm hoping they will get some new stock in once their sales are over, they've had the same lines for yonks now.
