A friend of mine is coming over to CVO to paint my house on the ADM, I've read the post regarding paint quality on this site and found it very helpful, I wondered though, whether or not to try the paint store on the Fatacil estate, ask their advice and purchase all the equipment needed, i.e. rollers, trays, paint and maybe hire a pressure washer from them if they offer that service, we hope to start painting in late May, any comments?
If you're thinking of the store "CIN" which is opposite Fatacil gates, then you'll find numerous positive recommendations on this site from myself and many others
We bought everything from CIN (paint, rollers, trays etc) and they were very helpful and didn't try to persuade us to buy the most expensive paint which came in 4 grades.
When the paint can was opened a year later, it was still perfect.
Yep, I would also recommend them, very helpful and speak good English if your Portuguese is not up to scratch. Good quality paint is worth the little extra, we did buy some from izi but not such good quality.

Along with Kenitex and Barbot, this is one of the more common brands of paint available.
The paint manufacturers provide painting "systems" and it is advisable to follow their recomendations on how to apply these as this will drastically affect the result and durability of the refurbishment.
Purchase of a powerful jet wash and crack filler material is advisable, as the older paint profiles will normally be very flaky and deteriorated by years of weather and UV exposure.
