Anyone have any news about the Golden Clube

Hi

We own a townhouse on the Golden Clube development - we bought off plan over 4 years ago but have not completed our purchase as there have been endless delays with the building of the townhouses, landscaping etc. & we still have no pool...

The builder tells us that they have a dispute with the planning authority who have refused to let them build the pool - there is supposed to be aparthotel on the site also but the latest news is that the authority is no longer prepared to allow the builder to develop this - to be honest, I no longer believe a word the builder says (we have been lied to so many times) but have no idea what's going on.

Has anyone heard anything? Does anyone know where I can find out what's happening with the various permissions (i don't speak portuguese...)

Appreciate any help anyone can provide

Did you not use a Portuguese lawyer when you bought the property offplan? They should be able to find all the information you need. We have had a similar problem with an offplan property in Spain!!

Forgot to mention that our lawyer has dropped off the face of the planet... along with all of our paperwork etc.

We are in the process of appointing a new lawyer.

Things are rarely as straight forward as they should be

You might want to be aware that some of the UK owners are meeting to discuss this and other related concerns. What number townhouse are you?

I'd be very interested in hearing from other owners - especially anyone living there on-site.

Our townhouse is no 37.

Has the meeting taken place yet?
Is there anyone I could speak or email for an update?

I'd be interested in joining a residents committee or forum if this has been established.
