where is a rubbish tip?

hi
i need to get rid of a washing machine and some other furniture,im not keen on leaving the items at the side of a green bin,so prefer to get rid.is there a local tip?

There is a collection service for large items, on specific dates. Just leave the items by the rubbish bins on the evening before the collection date. The dates used to be posted on the notice board in the square, and maybe still are (we haven't used the service for some time).

Checked the notice board on the square this morning, and if you want to use the service the dates for March are 6th, 7th, 20th and 27th. They are published on this web site, but seem to relate to 2001. Maybe an update required?
