Portuguese Food

Post by guest hungry »

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows where i can look online to get traditional portuguese recipes. I was interested in relatively easy and quick dishes something like "arroz de tomato". Perhaps a few deserts. Or anyone have any of their own portuguese recepes they'd like to share?
And why not have a carvoeiro.com recipes list?

SEA FOOD RICE,
BASE
Soften a red onion and red or green pepper in olive oil,
Add a tin of tomatoes , herbs ( to your taste ) we use coriander and mixed herbs plus fish stock ( fresh or a cube will do ).

Let this cook down slowly for 20-30 mins.

THen add your sea food ( Sainsbury,s and ASDA both do packs of mussels, prawns and calamari.

Cook your rice ( we like a Rissoto type ) also in fish stock.

Add to the seafood and base.

You can add white wine, or a litlle chili if you want.

We like to finish off with a few large prawns or green lip mussels, more for show than taste.
Delicious and not expensive.
