Stop winding up poor Ellie. Shorts! I am wearing a body warmer and 2 pairs of socks and sitting by a fire. :? Mind you, I would be cold in the Sahara.

That is true but I have to write at my desk, as the sun reflects off my laptop and I go blind after half an hour. To be fair, my dad was outside earlier working on something and wearing a short sleeved top. I don't have tough UK blood I'm afraid. I put a jumper on if it goes under 25ºC. Bad circulation. :(

Hey Bruxie you need to do what I've just done, a nice hot cup of coffee with a liberal helping of Scotland's finest in it, I'm now just waiting for it to reach the parts that ordinary coffee doesn't reach :!:

 Ooh yes please, sounds really good, but I think I will start off with a nice large glass of red first.

Maddi and Witchy the southwest has been blooming cold today hasn't it, cold wind and instead of a crisp cold more like a damp cold, oh well last day of January now and only another month before March when I like to think we are close to spring.

Just got back inside after a thrilling hour of translating for my dad regarding some new doors and shutters. Learnt what handrail was in Portuguese...all very exciting...NOT! It was none to warm out there and getting very very chilly again this evening. There was quite a frost this morning at 7am. Looks like this weather is all over Europe. Brrrr...yes, I have a cup of coffee at hand and in a while it will be wine time for me. I might even go and see if old NR has got any open? Roll on summer. My hands might turn a normal colour again by then. :D

Witchy and Lesley

The old South West has been chilly hasn't it but at least it has graced us with beautiful sunshine and I thank god (or whoever for small mercies).

I took your advice Witchy and have heavily laced my coffees and what a warming joy that has been - I almost feel loved! Although a little upset you started without me this pm.

It is great to hear from you both either on here or via PM and perhap-s we could organise a South West Penisular CVO.com appreciation society meeting at Ilminster in a luxury hotel with all the facilities - girls only - every so often - I will be just fine if they have vodka and tia maria for my black russians and Witchy will be fine with Scotland's finest and Lesley - do you have a wine preference or can we ask for a bottle of any Leziria (I know that is not how it is spelt!!)

Maddi :)

20ºC  That must have been in the sun I take it, tbbr because it was about 12/13ºC in the shade here in Silves outback yesterday. There surely can't be that much difference between here and Albs? :? Although I am quite high (in situation) on top of my hill. :D

This morning I have taken your advice, HP and I am outside, laptop on my garden table and squinting into the very bright sun. The problem is I can't see my cursor anymore and I haven't got any sunblock for my face. Hmmm...might have to pop back inside and put on some socks.

 Maddi, I like the idea of a South West cvo.com meet up, can't think of any nice hotels in Ilminster but just down the road towards Chard is Hornsbury Mill, great coffee, wine, spirits, lunch..........just say a time (and a place) and I will be there  When it comes to wine I really like a soft, easy drinking red from France, a Merlot or a Fleurie, or a nice red from the Alentejo region.
