yes it will be a tasty treat every day for some - it seems that the EU will be giving 8.8 million euros a day to Portugal(see below from the News) - plus of course we mustnt forget all the other monies received in the past.
and so if next year when there are fires and we hear ...weve no money for fire fighting aircraft or machines..then remember this figure and ask wheres the money!

Portugal’s José Sócrates was arguably one of the happiest Prime Ministers in the European Union this week after an agreement was finally reached on the EU’s budget framework for the period that will run for seven years from 2007 to 2013....

Yes, but allocated monies sometimes disappear with little or no results in the end.pm wrote:That's a bit less than a euro per person then?
Countries tend to get the money for specific projects, not just to spend how they like.
