Tourist Train
Can anyone tell me the route that the little tourist train takes around Carvoeiro?

That's a pity really because even if it were to stop at Rocha Brava or the beach just before, there might be a chance of a few more passengers in each direction, although I suppose the bus company and taxi drivers don't like that idea. (BTW - is there an English website giving bus timetables for the CVO area)
In all honesty, what is there to see from the road (sightseeing)? It isn't exactly a route with fantastic views from CVO to Rocha Brava, just the odd glimpse of the sea - otherwise it's mainly restaurants, properties and impatient cars trying to pass the train!

When the train first started running it had about 4 stops from cvo to the Algarve Clube Atlantico. Subseqent loss of buisness led the taxi drivers to lobby the train and it was shut down for a while. Now it is only allowed to run a closed circuit without stops.
Personally, I would not mind seeing it go out of buisness as it is an agravation for people trying to work/drive in Carvoeiro, it increases noise and particle pollution and as mentioned before, has a route that cannot really be described as scenic.

Oh well, if that's the case, I'm sorry I expected more. Never mind.
If anyone can help with the bus services that's a good point from an earlier post. Also can you get direct to Ferragudo from CVO by bus? (apart from the roadtrain on Mondays it seems, but then it doesn't stop!)
Sadly we don't all have cars.

I think the tourist train should stay as is however, last September the emmissions coming out of it were horrendous and it needed a major service on the amount of rubbish it was spilling into the atmosphere. I trust this has been sorted out because under EEC rules (I hate most of them but this one is very important) it wouldn't pass an MOT in the UK. If it's still chucking out rubbish, it should be banned until it comforms. Kteee, your nearest, whats the score?
