Christmas Eve

Hi all,

This will be our first christmas in the Algarve, can you kind people please tell me if everything shuts down on Christmas eve with regard to pubs ?

If they are open are they usually dead on this night ?

Would it be a better bet to go to Albufeira for the night ???

The only reason I ask is that as it's a latin country I presume a family meal is the order of the night on Christmas eve.

Yes a family meal is a must at that night,but i think some of the bars will be open altough not busy the party periode is over new year when the algarve will come alight:-)
