Anyone familiar with Salicos?

We are travelling to Carvoerio for the third time this summer. Previously we have stayed in Aerias dos Moinhos and Monte Carvoerio and have had great holidays on both occassions.

This year we have booked a villa in Salicos. Anyone have any experience of this area? Local amenities? Restaurants/shops? How far to the centre of Carvoerio? We are anticipating the need for a car or two.

Hi Shelly,

Salicos is located between the Benagil road and Caramujeira. It is a very rural area where you will require a car to gain access to facilities like supermarkets and bars. There are two or three portuguese restaurants within walking distance.

The distances to towns are roughly 3,5 Kms to Carvoeiro and a little further to Lagoa. Beaches are also roughly 3Kms away.
Car hire is highly recommended.
