:D Thank you Nigel, for another nice and informative newsletter. I always look forward to reading it. What is the name and location of the restaurant in Ayamonte serving the leg of lamb?

Estrado do Farol was shut to passing traffic and dozens of stalls set up either side of the road and around the square with gypsies selling all manner of goods. I was amazed to see how Louis Vuitton and other designer outlets had entered into franchise arrangements with them! Cheap watches, cheap DVD’s (the latest movies!), towels, shoes, shirts, socks, bras and pants you name it you could buy it.

Lamb

Hi Heini

Not sure of name but have card at home. Will let you know.

Do you know Ayaamonte at all? They have changed it a bit but the easiest way to describe the location is if you come off the old Vila Real/Ayamonte ferry you would turn right and keep going along the waters edge. The road splits into a one way system now and you keep going then have to go round the first roundabout and back on yourself about 150 metres.

There is a garden and car parking spaces on your right and the restaurant is there. It is an old building built on quite a narrow fork between two raods. Looks a bit upmarket but it is not really and super for the lamb or suckling pig.

oops, Biffa, I must have missed your reply  . Can't imagine how, since I come to the forum at least once a day. Thanks very much for the description, I am sure we'll find it. If you could post the name it might help. We go to Ayamonte quite often during our stay to get our tapas fix. Sorry for the "reminder post" under the "Foods" topic.
I am cooking "rabo de toro" tonight, anyone want to join us????
