English News

Anybody following the English News will have seen the recent case where a 14 year old girl was sent home from hospital following a miscarriage with the feotus in a bottle.
Whilst this is an extremely distressing time for the girl nobody seems to be addressing the fact that she was only 14.
Her 17 year old boyfriend is in todays papers giving his own opinions.
As this 17 year old has now admitted sex with a minor surely it is a matter that should now be taken up by the police leading to a subsequent conviction.
Is it just me? Surely if these people are prepared to involve the press they should then take the inevitable consequences.

bica it doesnt have to relevant to cvo. Its listed under 'english news' so its a discussion about something thats happening in the english news and alice thought it would make good discussion!! I love the Algarve dearly but life doesnt begin and end there you know!! Get out more .....And yes Alice--people seem to get their kicks from parading their misfortune when its usually their own ignorance which has helped create it.it was terrible about the girl and the baby but yes the boy should be prosecuted

Back to the original post - Perhaps they are looking to push their price up when they appear on the Tricia show.

Gerry - Just in case there is any confusion - I was agreeing that it was valid to post the topic in the general threads not with its content. -

Gerry, I brought my girl up here in CVO, she is 17 now. likes clubbing around this area. all very good. Last year she went some time to friend in Holland and went 1 night to the clubs there. She went once but never again. So different from here. Youngsters trying to get drunk as soon as possible, throwing up everywhere and then start fights.
So not only Brittains problem but mostly everywhere. Problem is that on Skynews all that happens in UK is repeated and repeated. Seeing this bingedrinking with teenagers. God am I glad I brought up my kid overhere.

Thanks for the reply ..being a publican can make you a bit paranoid..but the trouble is because your in the middle of it and sober you tend to see a lot of the danger that perhaps well meaning perants don,t ...i,ve listened to so many parents tell me that their kids drink was spiked when the reality is that their 16 yr old just can,t handle 6 bottles of alco pop.
