Alternatives to Sat Dish for British TV channels

Does anyone know of any other alternative to get British TV without a sat dish on the roof. We have an apartment in Ferragudo and are only allowed to use the balcony for sat dishes ... ours faces the wrong way. Therefore, we are seeking alternatives. There is cable in the building but that brings in the usual Sky News, german channels and sport programmes. We did here that we can see TV over a PC if we bought one.

Any ideas from the forum???
