D'you know..for someone whos not much of a footie fan...I got quite excited last night ..watching Germany v Holland ( always beena bit of a fan of the boys in orange ).....and I actually jumped up at one point when the Dutch just missed one(heard myself saying..YES..COME ONE!!)

I so agree Ellie, some of these players are quite cute arn't they, and although I moan about having to watch the footie when Hubby and eldest daughter take over the tv, some of these games have been good. Hubby had a problem last night with who to support! he is in Germany at the mo, staying with the director of the company he works for, with some of the Dutch employees there aswell, who do you cheer for??
I havn't had a chance to see what is happening tonight, have only just got back from a long day One Day Eventing with my horse, who won?

Well done Portugal on your 2 - 0 win. Big difference when Ronaldo came on, he puts the fear of God into defences - should start the crunch game on Sunday. He's definitely a far better player now, as he knows when to cross the ball - I think that's down to the coaching (Rollickings) during his first season at Old Trafford. He makes football fun to watch & has the potential to become a world great. Hope England win tonight but I'm more concerned about the behaviour of their 'fans' - authorities have a mega problem, if they throw England out of the competition this will probably cause even more trouble. Glad Russia are virtually out - they shouldn't be there in the first place (player tested positive for drugs after the Wales match).

Hiya Ellie, Good hearing so...............us Dutch are nice folks, I agree and gifted of course when it comesw to footbal, some also are very modest which also happens to be a good thing................and on and on.... lol. Anyway I am truly glad Portugal did win . Now you have to smash spain but that wont be too hard. You have the team guys now keep the spirit that you had in the second half. Put in Rui Cosat, Figo and Nuno Gomez....the team of 2000 and youi'll be ok. See I get excited too but that's because I feel sympathy for my portguese friends Ellie..They have to win....again good luck Portugal!

As I said...I only watched the first half of the game...and when I asked H what score was (well into second half?) he said still 1-0.....was the second goal right at the end?
Im really sad I missed that..must have been edge of the seat stuff?
But very happy that Portugal won!

Well Ellie, according to my 'inside information' we are playin coming Saturday @ 20 .45 hrs. ( 19.45 UK time) against the Tsjech Republic.

2. To read about a Welshman wishing England all the best (Good result but MUST do much better).

3. To read a post from a Welshman who knows a bit about the 'beautiful game'. (We don't all follow the 'Easter Egg' game).
