Not soon enough!

Post by Debs G »

Well we will be travelling to the Algarve in just over 3 weeks time and it cannot be soon enough. Haven't been since October (OK so its not that long ago) but because I was pregnant I couldn't fly after that. Its our little girl's first flight (she will be 9 weeks!)

Anyway, is there anything exciting going on at the end of April/beginning of May? (our bank holiday - is it a bank holiday there?)

We will be mainly house hunting (hopefully around Carvoeiro) but will need a break.
Anyone fancy a spot of babysitting for us?

I was joking about the babysitting!
I'm not sure how I'd feel about complete strangers looking after my kids especially a 9 week old.

However, a proper babysitting group would be useful and I guess I will probably be looking for one once I move out there as well as a nursery.
I don't suppose anyone knows of any good ones?

Thanks

Thanks CM

I should have realised that people on here are far too helpful before I tried to joke about something. Obviously not very good at expressing myself!

Its a mother thing, I would have left the kids stranded at the drive-in from a day old if there was a beer in it

Debs - there is a Mother and Toddler group that meets every Friday - mixture of Portuguese and English and probably a good place to start for advice.

Is that one in Carvoeiro or was it one in Ferragudo? I have heard of a couple, butnot as yet been. If I have the chance I may try and get there this time.
Thanks, I'd forgotten about those!

Hi Mandy

Thanks for the offer. I'm not actually looking for a babysitter when we visit this time but I will be looking for some kind of permanent arrangement when we eventually move out there. I'll keep you in mind.
