I'll do my best Gerry!
Im gonna be walking most places around CVO..so I might be glad of a rest..then I'll go in post office to log on..and hopefully give you good news :)
But..if my right big toe is 'throbbing'..I know it means rain (its always a signal to me!)..its more reliable than a barometer!
Funny you should ask me this though..Tricky went out yesterday..and shes going to text me on Monday ..she said..to let me know what to pack!!!
But being 'English'..Ill pack a waterproof..just in case! :)

Have a good time Ellie - sounds like you will! By the way, from a previous post it sounds like you stay at Vila Nova. Is that correct? Dave.

We had a good weekend, despite the fact that there was no hire car ready for us when we arrived and the weather was mixed with sun and showers. Hope the weather improves for you next week.
We have stayed at Vila Nova a few years ago and always go back for a meal at the restaurant when we are over.
Dave.

Stayed at Vila Nova a few times Dave...at the townhouse in the corner..Belo Horizonte...nice folk who own it(they live in apart.next door.
Never yet dined in restaurant there..is it nice?
By the way..did you go to Maria's pastelaria..to have one of nice toasties?
How are they?
Hope to get there myself and have good chat :)
Did you go to cafe in Lagoa park...I wondered if the young girl Sonia was there. Nice girl and very lively! :)

Hiya,

Hot from CVO! - just got back today.
Ellie & I met up a few times and had a good laugh. The weather was really warm during the day, but cardi weather at night. We've just bought a apartment at Vila Nova, so obviously stayed there, and to answer earlier questions, the restaurant is very good ideed. I kept an eye out for
Loretta but didn't see her. Oh and as regards Happy's, We asked Peter
who runs it and he said that the owner of the building (and round up next door) was considering selling the property, and he has no idea if the new owners would want to rent it out as it is at the moment.
Happy holidays for anyone going out this month - have a great time

Hi I got back yesterday we had a fantastic time the weather is excellent but as tricky says cardi weather at night, unfortunatly i didnt meet up with tricky & ellie i was looking out for them but our paths didnt cross. We rented our apartment from the rental section on this site (118 Monte carvoeiro) I would like to thanks Sylvia for the use of her wonderful apartment i would definatly recommend it to others, We met up with some great people i would like to say hello to Mel, Sandra, Joanne & Hannah from Swansea And also 'ello to John & Penny from kent (John you noticed i dropped me aitches!!). Thanks for a great last night, my head was a bit sore the next morning. We went to all the usual places Happys, Casa Algarvia, Marsquitette(sp)(Just up from the new hotel before you get to A Rede) it has very nice food plenty of fresh fish and it is very cheap, We also went to Palmeira up the road from the market past monte dourado again excellent food at very reasonable prices used by the locals quite alot. I'm already getting withdrawal symptons and i've only been back a day! I'm already planning my next visit next year, im looking for a villa to rent within walking distance of the village there will be 9 of us going this time so if anybody has a villa for rental that is available for 2 weeks last week of August 1st week september 2005 please let me know. Im now going back to the washing & ironing!!!

Hi Loretta,

I've seen, you're back in reality, with washing and ironing, the reverse side of the medal. Thanks for your recommendation. It's always welcome :P I Hope, you've had a wonderful time and everything was OK, especially the Taxi-transfer etc.
Maybe I've made some spelling mistakes (like definatly/definitely), so I appologize in advance. Think I will survive it.

Best regards

Sylvia

Beware all you travellers to sunny(but not funny) Portugal, if you are robbed, stabbed, run over, fed dodgey grub, whatever, don't go to the police, they are about much use as a fart in a space suit!!! There is not a mood icon I can put on here to express my anger and need for revenge at this moment in time. Buy youreself the biggest nastiest dog you can find and put your money in its jaws.
