are there any public gyms in carvoeiro that you can pay as you go over a week? Looking for free weights mostly. thanks.

Both the gym at the Carvoeiro tennis club and the gym in Lagoa (across from the fatacil) offer holiday memberships, and there's a gym run by the council on the 'out' road in Carvoeiro, but I don't know what the system is there.

I use the Tennis club it works out at 6 euro a go if you buy a few, last time there was no air con but plenty breeze from windows and doors, if you want serious free weights this is the place many of the local bouncers train here and there is a huge selection of old school equipment. A personal trainer is also there to assist...if you want a fitness first then this isnt the place

My husband used the gym at rocha brava when we were in cvo. 60 euros for 10 visits, air con, music and plenty of free weights.
