Public transport

We're coming to Carvoeiro for two weeks end March/start April, staying at the Almansor Hotel. Is there a local bus service between Carvoeiro and places like Portimão, Lagoa and so on?

Yes there is, the bus stops outside the hotel but only some go to Portimao and the rest Lagoa. If you get a Lagoa bus then it normally links up with all sorts of destinations from the bus station in Lagoa. Have a great time and you have chosen a very good hotel, make sure you get a sea facing room,not to be missed. Mike

Thanks for the information Mike. We're looking forward to visiting Carvoeiro and the surrounding area again after a 21 year gap. It'll be interesting to see how things have changed.
