A TOWN CALLED ALGARVE

Looking at property now...it is clear that we are now faced with almost a continous urban sprawl from faro to portimao..with some little green bits left in between.

new houses are now being shoved in with shoe horns onto sites..years ago on an urb. the average plot size was about 1000 sq metres..this week i was shown one property with 45 sq metres...in fact i would guess that the density levels of new houses to land use are now greater than uk.
it is now the strange case that some apartments terraces have bigger "land areas" than some villas.

it seems to go inland is the only answer..but even now silves is going up..the side of the Messine hill is being taken for apartments..next stop sna marcos i suppose.

oh dear....urban sprawl has and is now ruining what was the algarve.

i agree..in fact sometimes the houses in cities are now better than the ones in the "country"

if anyone passes by the Bath And Alexio (villa managers offices as you leave cvo) cvo offices..stick you head around the back entrance opposite the new build apartments..its like a secret garden..wonderful and so private

When I first got to Austin, and drove to a hill overlooking the "Hill Country', all I could were hills on the skyline......

Now all I can see on the skyline are the roofs of expencive houses.

"They" tell me it's Progress.
