Football friendly Portugal v England
Football friendly Portugal v England
According to the Resident you can get tickets for the friendly game at the stadium from tomorrow but when we drove past earlier the exit is blocked off, anyone know how to get into it?

Hi Ktee. It is true that tickets for Portuguese nationals go on sale tomorrow both at the ground and on websites but I believe you will find Englsih living here have to apply in the special way. I understand about 3,000 tickets have been sent and sold in the Uk and us "furriners" living here have to apply on the special form.

The Portuguese site opens at 10 am today Monday 2nd. It also says that any unsold tickets will be availbale at the ground on 18th Feb as from 8pm.
Job to get clear info on whether they will expect to see ID when you go in.
They are using the game as a dry run for the Euros though so I guess security will be tight.
I suppose they wil have meat pies and hot Bovril down the English end and bifanas and medronho at the other

Portugal / England Friendly
you have to go apply via the Portuguese FA website but applications for all English fans ( in England or Portugal ) ended around the end of January. No tickets til the night if you haven't got any yet.

where did you get 'em Pinkie? Still waiting for mine which I applied for by post!! and it was max. of 4!!
Could be a real mess
If you read last weeks Resident it looks like the allocation of tickets may be in a real mess. Supposedly 1760 tickets have been reserved for English residents living in Portugal
I applied for the tickets via the special form for residents but as yet no tickets have shown up even though my Bank Statement shows that the cheque I sent has been cashed.
Several others who have also applied by this route are still waiting for tickets to show up

Me too! Cheque cashed but no tickets yet!
Ticket Fiasco!
Crazy stuff!
Called a 289 number and an uncommunicative chap said to go to the Football Federation offices next to the Municipal swimming pool in Faro and pick the reserved tickets up preferably before Friday with ID!! Other info I got said that they could be collected up to next Tuesday but as it seems uncollected tickets will go on general sale best to get down there I reckon!
Oh and by the way - they are only open between 0930 and 1200 and 1530 and 1700!
How can they be so disorganised?
