Weather forecast mid Feb

Post by fmm »

I am half (possibly three quarters!) thinking about coming over for the weekend around 12th February. Haven't booked flights as I have no intention of coming over on my own to spend 4 days sitting in the rain. I like Carvoeiro, but not that much!!

So - has anyone seen a sensible long range forecast, and for those of you out there - what is it like at the moment. I need to see some sun and cvo seems my best bet right now.

Thanks 8)

The following is a link for a 15 day weather forecast for Portimao - I am afraid this was as far in the future as I could find:

With regards to the weather here now, it has been raining almost every day for what seems like a very long time, but today the sun is shining, it is warm (around 18 degrees) and we have blue skies again - long may it last :D

Hope this is of some help :D

Thanks- that is great. The foreseeable future looks bright and sunny in Carvoeiro - I shall wait a day or so then book some flights I think.
many thanks

FMM, suggest you wait until at least the end of next week until you book, a weather trend may be apparent then. The problem with Portugal and the UK at the moment is the jet stream which is tending to run west to east across the bay of Biscay and has been for a few weeks now. It's responsible for the rain in PT and the cold stuff in the UK. The next two weeks in the UK shows little change at the moment, so assume similar in Portugal. Wish I could book flights at the moment

It has poured down all day today and only 6 degrees....we have an infinity pool.

Next weeks forecast is rain, thunderstorms, cloudy and more rain.....I'd leave it until after the 20th if I were you.

Well, I arrived last night, and today we were blessed with lovely weather. The forecast is quite appalling for the next two days, but today we had this
