Recent info please!

Hi!
Me and my boyfriend are coming out at the end of August. We've been a couple of times before but not for a couple of years and i'm after some up to date info.
Obviously due to the dreaded credit cruch we are expecting things to be more expensive, but wondering if anyone can give us idea of price of things like:
pint of beer, bottle of wine and spirits in shops and restaurants
food in general
taxis from centre to quinta do paraiso
Prices at slide and splash
Taxis to Portmao
Exchange rates
And anything else you can think of so we can budget wisely!
