You know the very useful illustrated guide from Faro to CVO. Don't need it now - can get there blindfold (no, only joking)

Once all the alteration have finished I'm going to be lost. How will I get to Quinta D P? The narrow hill passed the Ice Cream Parlour; did I hear that that is to become downhill?
Is it possible for somebody to give directions (illustrated if possible) how to get to the various complexes in and around CVO?

From Lagoa, we never drive through the village, always prefering the rear entrance to QdP past Escondidinho. As for getting to QdP from the village, I don't see us ever attempting it again in a car. As to how the new traffic flow will work, I think we are all playing wait and see.

The easiest way to QDP is up Solferias hill to the top, turn right, first left, then left at the T junction. QDP is a few hundred metres on the right

On the subject (though slightly different) - we always loved the "Free Map" - the big red and white map of Carvoeiro for road layouts etc.... the website doesnt appear to be there anymore, does anyone know if these have stopped being produced?

I know this is off topic, but the above comment led me to mention:

In some browsers (Firefox 3, Google Chrome, maybe others), if you just enter the main part of the address (in this case "freemaps" - without the quotes and without any suffix) into the address bar, then the browser will try all combinations for you, and if it cannot find anything will fire up your linked search engine (usually Google) and do a search on that word.

Thanks e-richard, I always type the full address. Its a fab map - in this instance i first want it for plotting out the location of some villas for a visit in Sept, its good to see them laid out. Whilst the maps obviously not to scale, the layout is good and i havent found one better
