Portuguese MOT

Post by mrsnippy »

Hi all

going for my first MOT in Portugal today and not sure what to do?
I was just going to show up at the centre past Porches on the N125 as I have time on my hands so waiting is not a problem. Any advise?

Could be a long wait with nothing to do - take a book.

Second and third weeks of the month when they are relatively quiet you can book an appointment - first and last weeks no way, just take your chance.

The regulations have changed a little for this year.Previously you had to go by the end of the month of first registration. Now it is before the actual day in an attempt to spread things out evenly

Hi Folks , for the past three years you have been able to book an appointment for ipo, you phone 707 501 502 , the people speak good english and are very helpful , you get a choice of day and time & station, just arrive 10 mins before , straight to the front of the queue , no time wasted !
Hope this will help anyone doing first time .
