For so long I have had a dream to sample Algarvian life and next May ( school holidays ) it will finally come to fruition. Can anyone please tell me what the weather is like and how busy it will be please. While I am on I know you could say 'how long is a piece of string ?' but as an idea would £800 spending money for 2 adults and 1 child be enough for 1 week self catering.

Budget should be OK but choose your restaurants well. Weather in May normally very good but expect the odd iffy day. Hope you enjoy your stay.

I visited in May this year and the weather was not too good. Only one nice day in the week. Hopefully I was just unlucky!

Have been twice in May and had lovely weather. Just a bit nippy first thing & in the evenings, take a jacket/fleece.
