In the 80's and early 90's my family and I used to stay in a lovely villa called Casa Jeanetta. When I visited last september I drove up to see if it was still there and to my delight, it was and had hardly changed. Do any of you know Casa Jeanetta and if it is still available to rent? ( I'm not sure of the actual address but if you go up Restaurant Hill, turn left 100 yards after A Rede, past Os Brasinhos restaurant and carry on for 800 yards then turn left and it's a turning a little way up on the right, next to a villa called Casa Bouganvillea) If anyone could let me know, it would be greatly appreciated.
DJ, I'm out next week and staying on ADM which is very close to your description but I'm a bit concerned as to the left turn after 800yds. Is this the left turn at the junction with ADM with the traffic island in the middle
No it's before that Mike. The turning on the left is quite narrow and if I remember rightly, it had graffiti on the whitewash wall, unfortunately. I'm not painting a very pretty picture of the place, am I?
You could try searching the rental sites, I know for instance that many on ownersdirect do not list the villa with it's name because of the rental regulations fiasco out there, only passing it on when booked. So maybe by scrolling through you will recognise it.

That's very kind of you, Mike. Please don't go out of your way or let it interfere with your holiday. When I was there last september I walked upto the front door but I must admit, my bottle went when I saw a pair of size 12 golfing shoes on the doormat. I don't know why but the whole atmosphere was very German. I could be wrong though and I hope I am.
My family bought Casa Jeanetta about ten years ago and it is in very active use for most of the year...but if you're desperate about returning then I guess my grandparents might consider it!
