The actual statue from Fatima of Our Lady of Fatima will leave Carvoeiro church on Saturday and possibly Sunday. I'm not actually sure if there will be a procession but I know there's some type of acting out the 3 shepherds visions story. That's the reason for the flags down the hill and the seats up by the church. Next week she'll be making an apperance at Vale d'el Rei church.

Thats very interesting B1D and you've brought back a little memory for me.....
It was February,2005 and the last of the witnesses to the visions of 'Nossa Senhora' at Fatima had just died, 'Sister Lucia' aged 97.
A member who used to write on here 'Paramonte', said they had written to Sister Lucia in 1985 and that they had received a card in return, from the sister and that they treasured it.
I believe the other 2 young witnesses died young?
I wonder whats happened to Paramonte?
There are 2 places Id love to visit in the north, one is Coimbra and the other is Fatima

I hope you mean the statue is making an appearance and not the actual NSF - who would be the modern day Lucia, Fernando and Jacinta - three hoodies or skateboarders?
maybe that's why there arn't quite so many apparitions these days - not enough wide-eyed yokels?
