Algoz Crazy Golf

Post by jimmyp »

Hi all

Anyone been to Crazy golf recently? Last year read a couple of posts saying how run down it had got - Am out in CVO end of May and have a four yr old who needs entertaining ( in addition to several visits to slide and splash!)

Thanks

I went last year with my friend and we both have 3 year old boys. I'd heard reports about it being run down and dirty and so was expecting the worst but I was pleasantly surprised. There's a little petting area for the children to stroke the baby goats and if you're around at feeding time a woman comes round with a bucket of bread and you can feed the camel and ponies, the children can also go on pony rides. There's a reptile house and at certain times of the day there's a short presentation where my boy got to hold a female python. By the restaurant is the outdoor pool and when we were there they had two giant inflatables up for the children to bounce around on, so we could relax with a coffee and still keep an eye on the boys. The food is quite good value but the drinks were expensive. We didn't do the crazy golf but had a walk around the course which was pretty with lots of trees making it a nice shady walk. Along the walk there are giant dinosaurs scattered about which the children were impressed with. To be honest I couldn't find anything bad to say about it. Hope this helps.

Is this place 'Krazy World' on the road out of Algoz towards Messines?

I went in March/April last year. Disgusting, filthy, run down, glass so dirty you can't see through it, animal poo everywhere, paint peeling off, litter all over the place, pools not completed. Perhaps they improve it in the summer, but early in the season I promise you that you would not want to stay there more than 5 minutes.

I went, in August; with B2D and our kids and we had a great day out. We played golf, saw a magic show, fed the crocodiles, saw a turtle/snake show, had a nice lunch AND went to the petting farm. By the end of the day we were exhausted.

Make sure you wear a hat, take water, use plenty of sun cream and wear flat shoes, there's a LOT of walking about in the sun. They also have swimming pools and grass for sunbathing.

Everything is included in the entry fee except the quad bikes and food and drink. I did see people with picnic baskets, but I personally can't be bothered to carry a heavy basket around, and like to think if you eat there you're helping to keep the place running!

yeah it was cool - the best bit was when the man with the camcorder fell all the way down the stairs and rolled about on the floor - but this doesn't happen off-season I think...

i could post the photo of us holding the ginormous snake - but i mustn't disclose our identities now we are in the witness protection scheme
