Easyjet survey

Post by laserblazer »

Just completed a survey they emailed to me. Basically, they are just plugging an annual speedy board option.

Hi Laserblazer,
Is there any limit on the amount of people who can opt for speedy boarding on each flight , or could everybody do it ?

EJ's Speedy B limit is 20 passengers. There have been other boarding changes. SB's come first, walking wounded next then families with infants
(not children as it used to be) Next on line check in in Group A now[/u]

I guess I must be missing the point, but having used EasyJet for most of my flights (4/5 each year) for the last 5 years I have yet to see the advantage of finding a cheap flight and then paying extra to get on the aircraft first!

The plane isn't going to go without you and I have seen instances when some of the people who have paid for this rather dubious 'perk' don't actually hear it being called and either have missed their chance or have to push their way through all the other passengers.

Dont be conned. At Faro you are just paying for the right to get on a bus before me. Fine.....go ahead....but I bet I'll beat you off it and onto the plane!

By the way....they still havent released the Gatwick flights yet

Last time at Faro, they put the speedy board and walking wounded on a small bus and we left first. But because my wife cannot walk that fast, the second bus arrived and people pushed their way past us. We don't do it to get advantage seats or anything just to get seated before the rush so she doesn't get pushed over and trampled on. :?

If you are only taking cabin baggage and check in on line you get a group A classification. when I came out last month only one person had paid for a speedy booking. He was followed on the bus by those with disabilities, those with children and those in group A. Unfortunately he was first on the bus and one of the last off. I think its a waste of time in low season

Why don't you go on last then? Would seem the obvious solution, if you are not bothered where you sit.

Tried that. Being last on the bus is bad enough for the able-bodied. It would be potentially dangerous for us. When the doors open, there is a pressure on those at the front and if you have to be helped down the step, there is a good chance of being knocked over. The way it is now, we can use the front door and get off at our own pace.

After 10 years of coming out to Carvoeiro we are using Easyjet for the first time this week. Me thinks its going to be interesting and yes I chickened out and paid the extra for speedy boarding. Will let you know how we get on later. Liz
